Welcome to Parkland Alpaca Farm. We purchased our first alpaca, Ahnald, in 2001 and began attending shows and seminars learning about alpacas. We started looking for a location for our farm and moved to our Granville location in 2003.
Where does the time go, it is hard to believe that seven years have come and gone since we purchased our Granville farm on February 27, 2003. When we look back over the years we can see a lot of growth in our herd. Our herd presently has 28 alpacas, 17 girls and 11 boys and two guardian llamas. We have alpacas for sale ranging from champions to pet quality.
The Farm Store is scheduled to open this year. The Store will feature alpaca clothing, alpaca yarn from our herd, raw alpaca fiber for the hand-spinner and handcrafted items made by Diane. We will also feature farm products produced in Washington County including local honey, Dodge Hill Farm naturally raised angus beef and maple sugar products.
Over the years we have shown many of our alpacas in several of the regional alpaca shows winning ribbons wherever we went. We have raised several herdsires who are available for breeding as well as junior herdsires who are waiting in the wings.
As part of our ongoing community education program we will be offering free farm tours every Sunday afternoon during the summer and are planning a Harvest Event for this fall. Yes, time does go but to coin a phrase, “Life is Good.”
Please give us a call and schedule your farm visit with us at Parkland Alpaca Farm - (518) 642-3618.
