Welcome to Parkland Alpaca Farm. We incorporated our farm in January 2000 and in 2001 we purchased our first alpaca and began attending shows and seminars learning about alpacas. We started looking for our farm and moved to our Granville location in 2003. Where does the time go, it is hard to believe that twelve years have come and gone since we formed Parkland Alpaca Farm, Inc. When we look back over the years we can see a lot of growth in our herd. Our herd census is presently at 30, 17 female, 13 male alpacas. We have alpacas for sale ranging from champions to pet quality. The Farm Store opened this year. The Store features alpaca clothing, alpaca yarn from our herd, raw alpaca fiber for the hand-spinner and handcrafted items made by Diane. We also feature farm products produced in Washington County including local honey, naturally raised angus beef and maple sugar products. Over the years we have shown many of our alpacas in several of the regional alpaca shows winning ribbons wherever we went. We have entered six of our alpacas in the North American Alpaca Spin-Off and the Southern Select Alpaca Spin-Off. All six have received ribbons. We have raised several herdsires who are available for breeding as well as junior herdsires who are waiting in the wings. As part of our ongoing community education program we take several of our alpacas on field trips to local adult homes, elementary schools and various local civic associations and senior citizen meetings. We offer free farm tours, please call to make an appointment. Yes, time does go by but to coin a phrase, "Life is Good". Please give us a call and schedule your farm visit with us at Parkland Alpaca Farm - (518) 642-3618. |
